We would love to get to know you.
Could you please start by telling us a little about yourself?
I'm a soon to be 27 year old writer from Flint, Michigan. I've been writing solely for the past five or six years and off and on my whole life. Being a writer is and has been the only thing I've wanted to do since I knew that I could write, and if I become a commercial success or not it is something that I will continue to do until the people with the white coats come to take me away.
Who or what influences you when you write?
I find myself nowadays being heavily influenced by the people that I meet and those that are around me on a regular basis. My emotions are something that also drives me to write and what I write about which is why sometimes my life imitates my art.
When you have writer’s block how do you break free?
I usually take a trip my favorite stripclub. I find the sexual freedom of the dancing inspirational and the fantasies that intoxicate the place usually make for some good erotic writings.
Please tell us what you have planned next?
I plan to publish a book of poetry next and currently I'm working on a novel about a woman that contracts AIDS from her partner thus forcing them into a strange relationship.
Who is your perfect hero? And why?
I think that I am my own perfect hero. I've overcome and made great strides even with what felt like the whole world on my back.
What do you do for inspiration?
I love. I find that love is the greatest inspiration of all. Love can evoke powerful feeling within us and drive us to do some crazy ass things, and when we feel like we haven't gotten the kind of love we need then all hell can break loose causing a bevy of mishaps. Love inspires itself so imagine what it can inspire a creative mind to see.
When did you first decide to submit your work? Please, tell us what or who encouraged you to take this big step.
One day I looked around and noticed that there was a place for me in the world and that was my first step. I first started submitting my work just to see how good I was. It wasn't until I posted to the website kuma2.net and started receiving fan mail that I knew I was on to something big.
What would you like to tell your readers?
"Stick with me kid. We're going places." I'm on a mission to make each book or work better then the last until I've reached my goal of the definitive work.
What is the best and worst advice you have ever received?
"You should publish this." That was the beginning and the end of me.
