Hello Charlene,

The girls of Night Owl Romance are pleased that you have granted us an interview

We would love to get to know you.

Could you please start by telling us a little about yourself?

I live in the Pacific Northwest where I juggle housework, pets, kids, and writing erotic romance for St. Martin’s, Ellora’s Cave and Samhain.

What’s your favorite genre to read?

Urban fantasy

What do you do on a typical writing day?

Write. *g*

When you have writer’s block how do you break free?

It depends on the cause of the block. If I’m just tired, a nap or a day off will do it. If there’s a problem with the story, I have to backtrack and fix what’s broken. Sometimes this involves brainstorming plot solutions or going back to do more research.  If I’ve “written myself out”, then I need to get away from the computer and do something else to recharge.

Can you please give us a sneak peek at any of your upcoming books?

Coming in July from St. Martin’s, Wicked Hot is a smoking paranormal ménage a trois featuring a succubus and the incorruptible Nephilim she’s sent to tempt.

Please tell us what you have planned next?

I’ve just turned in another paranormal ménage a trois, Animal Attraction, which will release from St. Martin’s in 2009. The next St. Martin’s book is underway, no title yet.

What kind of research do you do for your books? Do you enjoy the research process?

I love research. I read all sorts of background material, interview subject matter experts, watch movies or documentaries, visit the location, you name it.

What was your first published work and when was it published?

My first short story was published when I was 14. I published more short fiction and poetry in my 20s, did a lot of technical writing, and then sold my first novel in 2004.

What would be the best way for readers contact you? Do you have a website? Email address? MySpace site? Blog? Message Board? Group?

I have a website, www.charleneteglia.com. I’m also on Facebook and you can chat with me and some of my fellow erotic romance authors at the Wicked Writers group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wicked_writers/

How can readers find out more about you and your books?

Visit my website, www.charleneteglia.com

Thank you for this opportunity!
